Controlled Pilot

Evidence and Responsible Development

Compass is being developed and tested deliberately through a controlled pilot. The purpose of the pilot is to understand how people actually use Compass, where it is useful, where it is unclear and where the product needs to improve.

We are interested in more than whether users simply like Compass. We want to understand whether it helps users gain greater clarity, identify meaningful next steps, make better use of their own judgment, maintain progress over time, recognise when another level of support may be appropriate, and use Compass safely and appropriately in both personal and professional contexts.

User feedback helps inform development, but individual comments and testimonials are not treated as proof that Compass is effective for everyone.

As Compass develops, we intend to distinguish clearly between:

  • user experiences and testimonials;
  • structured pilot feedback;
  • product observations and usage evidence;
  • and stronger claims that would require appropriate validation.

New features, coaching behaviour, safety boundaries and professional-use capabilities should be reviewed before becoming part of the live product. The aim is not to add as much as possible as quickly as possible. The aim is to make Compass useful, understandable and responsible.

Where something is not ready, it should not be presented as ready. Where evidence is limited, claims should remain limited. Where another level of professional support is appropriate, Compass should respect that boundary.
